Drîm Solutions enable us to deal with dynamic complexity and multi-dimensionality. They:

  1. Are simple and (of necessity) counter-intuitive.
  2. Take advantage of (rather than fighting) the forces that constrain the situation or system.
  3. Repeat throughout the situation or system.

Be prepared:

  1. Stage 1: From no solutions, to too many solutions.

  2. Stage 2: The solution is too simple and obvious.

  1. Force out a very rough and inadequate solution ahead of any thought or research to create a tangible starting point.
  2. A provisional captures the starting state of our thinking to compare with later.
  3. A tangible provisional is a lot easier to enhance than an ethereal solution floating around amorphously in our brains.
  4. Provisionals almost always advance us, because they force us to integrate our existing thoughts.

We resist change only because of deep perceived or valid concerns: address them and resistance will melt.

  1. Stop yourself from embarking on change, until yiou can no longer stop yourself from embracing it: any resistance you feel is legitimate, so address it first.
  2. Divide the change up into parts and steps, and embark on them in versy small batches of one or two at a time.
